12FPS | A Creative Agency

Creative/Strategy/Social/Video. 12FPS is a creative agency that transcends mediums to promote revolutionary ideas. We believe that, behind every great story are real people making bold decisions. It takes timely technology to share timeless stories.

This blog ran on Tumblr from 2012 to 2018. It is kept here as an archive.

Liz Devine took her first photography class when she was in high school in rural Sandy, Oregon. “I was in love,” she says. “I wanted to be a photographer, move to a city, and change my name from Liz Berglund to Liz Devine.” Devine is her mother’s maiden name, and always struck her as a more memorable professional moniker. In the following years, Liz got a fine art photography degree in Portland, moved to New York City to pursue a freelance career and triumphantly switched her surname. She established our New York office last year, and has lent her photography skills to a number of 12FPS projects. “Telling real stories is a lot of what 12FPS has brought to my photography, because that’s at the heart of everything we do,” Liz says. “I find myself really drawn to the human element in photos. People bring photos to life. It becomes about your relationship with that person.” #12FPSPortraits On Facebook

“I healed myself through food, and it sparked a passion in me,” says Leah, who has played countless roles at 12FPS since the very beginning. She also runs the Leafy Greens kitchen, which adjoins our Santa Fe office space and gives our staff healthy energy boosts. Leah’s work as a nutrition consultant and natural chef conveys the nourishing spirit and attention to detail she brings to every 12FPS project. “My approach to any task—from editing, art direction and illustration, to cooking meals for the staff—is to align the project and the moment with a sense of beauty, symmetry, enjoyment, joy and loveliness. I try to enrich the experience.“ #12FPSPortraits On Facebook

Our founder and lead producer Adam has been making videos since high school, but he’s created a lot of other things in between. He thought he was a painter when he began college, worked for a year as a bread baker, and even cofounded a recording studio. Everything changed when he scored some freelance video production jobs, and realized he had enough work for a whole company to tackle. 12FPS grew from his desire to tell epic stories on a human scale. “Every story, everything we create, every opportunity we have to tell another brand’s story or tell our own story is about relationships,” Adam says. “It all comes down to people and navigating our interpersonal relationships.” #12FPSPortraits On Facebook
